Before we dig into why a professional email address increases your sales, you need to know what one is as defined by Google and Zogby Analytics .
What is a Professional Email Address?
Establishing a professional email address— that is, an email address that uses a business name after the “@” symbol (e.g. email@example.com).
That’s a quote from the survey. So it is an email address with your company name after the “@” sign in your email address.
For example, my professional email address for Finance Footing is firstname.lastname@example.org and it’s not email@example.com.
Don’t get me wrong, a Yahoo email address is great just not for your business.
Also, you should notice that my email address is not firstname.lastname@example.org it is email@example.com.
You want to make sure you include your name in your company email address. It builds trust.
So your professional email address should be firstname.lastname@example.org.

I’ve managed business for 10 years. I contacted, networked and built relationships with hundreds of companies.

Half of the people surveyed said their customers were happier when they switched their email address.
That seems like $4.95 well spent.
At this point you shouldn’t have any reason stop you from switching to a professional email address.
But there’s always a chance you still have excuses not to switch.

Change is hard. I don’t like change and I bet you don’t like change either.
But if you always do the same thing, you will always get the same results.

You can send your emails from your professional email address through Yahoo or Gmail.
It’s a little technical though so you might need help.
